About Us Group Wellesley was founded in 2000 by two graduates of the Carnegie Mellon University Master of Arts in Professional Writing program. We are dedicated to helping our clients create, manage, and deliver highly usable technical documentation using appropriate tools and technologies. Group Wellesley became Group Wellesley, Inc., incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, on January 1, 2004. We have supported clients around the globe. Group Wellesley, Inc. President Alan Houser ( bio ) is a distinguished consultant and trainer in the fields of XML, XML technologies, publishing workflows, and authoring and publishing tools. Houser holds an M.A. in Professional Writing and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Houser is a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication, a member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee, and a popular presenter at technical communication conferences. Group Wellesley, Inc. Vice President Mary Louise Ray ( bio ) holds an M.A. in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. from the Ohio University Scripps School of Journalism. Ray is a distinguished technical writer, specializing in software, consumer electronics, medical devices, and biomedical technologies. Ray also specializes in documentation and product usability. Ray's work has been featured in the Journal of the Society for Technical Communication, Dynamics in Document Design: Creating Text for Readers, by Karen Schriver, and Communication Arts.
